PTFE Stem Packing — Universal Valve Packing Series 500SP

PTFE Stem Packing is a high performance, universal valve packing constructed from a 100% unsintered PTFE core with a special PTFE tape covering. This double construction combines the versatility of an extruded malleable core with the additional strength and extrusion resistance of the outer tape layer, resulting in a low friction, near universally chemical resistant packing suitable for virtually all chemicals and media. It is FDA compliant and has an unlimited shelf life with no age deterioration.

Supplied on a spool, PTFE Stem Packing provides both an instant packing and an instant gasket in one economical product. In valve applications, simply wrap the packing around the stem to fill the gland — no cut rings required — then tighten the gland follower and the PTFE moulds to form a tight, leak-free seal. A properly installed PTFE Stem Packing is guaranteed to last the life of the valve to which it is fitted. Not suitable for liquid or gaseous oxygen applications.
