SCO680CT

SCO680CT is a steam cylinder oil for use in saturated and super heat steam in locomotives and traction engines and is already in use by a number of preserved lines.

The SCO680CT is designed to leave a residual oil film in the bores and valve faces to protect the surfaces where the engine is facing long periods out of use.

It is a compounded oil and has been proven successfully in alleviating problems associated with other compounded oils. Used in sight lubricators. As well as increasing the lubricity ability of the oil, a fatty compounding additive also enables the lubricant to function in the tracing of moisture by promoting emulsification whilst retaining film integrity.
