traction engine manufacturers by S. Redfern and Company Ltd.
Extremely robust and flexible. A high tensile steel inner wire helix exposed
within the bore, yet locked into the convolutions of the hose carcass ensures that even at full vacuum, there is no possibility of collapse or closure.
The internal and external wires are terminated in such a way to prevent unwinding of the hose
spirals The ends are smooth and free of wire in order to facilitate the attachment of fittings and clamping.
