Following demands for a Sentinel Crankcase Oil, Hallett Oils Ltd have developed a product to cope with the large amounts of condensate that collects in the crankcase. This product, with a viscosity of 680 cST @ 40°C, has excellent water separation properties, provides anti-rust & corrosion, anti wear and oxidation properties.

In field tests with an “S" Type, the product has shown the ability to separate an amount of 2 pints of water after two hours standing from a run. After a “cold" stand for weeks, a further 3 pints of water was removed before steaming.

Sentinel Crankcase Oil is recommended solely for use in the sumps of Sentinel Steam Engines.
