PROFESSIONAL PAINTING TOOLS

The outstanding blend of DuPont Solid Round Tapered (SRT) Chinex and Orel filaments makes the Elite range the unrivalled “all rounder” lasting at least five times longer than any natural bristle brush.

Unique Chinex characteristics allow these filaments to continue to self flag as the brush wears, giving a perfect painting tip throughout it’s life.

Purdy’s proprietary tipping and flagging gives the professional decorator a tool specifically engineered for greater paint lift, smooth superior application and fast clean up. Elite brushes are hand chiselled for shape and for easier precision cutting in.

Tramlines will be dramatically reduced when using the Elite with water-borne paints.

We offer a rebuild / exchange (when available) service on traditional 4”, 5” & 6” gauges of all types of steam pressure and Vacuum gauges of authentic style for Traction Engines, Main Line and Narrow Gauge Locomotives, Steam Launches Etc.

Gauges are Stripped, Case Cleaned / Polished and rebuilt with new Traction Engine Gauge Vibration resistant eccentric movements if required.

Dial Faces are reproduced to existing or to customer requirement and new glass is fitted.

Test Valves are used on steam boilers, to provide a means for attaching a test pressure gauge. This enables the calibration of the boiler gauge to be checked under working conditions. It also serves a useful purpose as an air vent, to facilitate draining and filling of the boiler. The valves should be fitted in the steam space on the crown or at the front of the boiler.
